This seminar gives students early exposure to AP-level content, vocabulary, data analysis, experimental design, Free Response writing, and exam-style reasoning in a lower-pressure summer environment. The course includes 15+ hours of asynchronous lecture-based learning across 10 recorded AP® Biology lectures taught by Mr. Z, with embedded active lecture questions to keep students engaged. Students may complete lectures at their own pace, though a suggested weekly timeline will be provided. Students also receive detailed weekly handouts/notes, graded AP-style Free Response practice, optional readings, and one full-length AP-style final exam covering only the first-semester content addressed in the seminar. After the final assessment, each student receives a personalized debrief report identifying weak content areas to reinforce before the fall semester begins. The course emphasizes AP® science practices including concept explanation, visual representation analysis, scientific questions and methods, data representation, statistical reasoning, and evidence-based argumentation. Students will also have access to 10 optional weekly 60-minute office hour sessions offered in person, virtually through Zoom, and/or as recordings. During office hours, Mr. Z will guide students through high-yield AP-style Multiple Choice and Free Response questions. Select office hours will include hands-on lab opportunities such as DNA extraction, diffusion/osmosis, and algae photosynthesis capture, helping students connect biology concepts to laboratory investigation, data interpretation, and AP-style scientific reasoning. Office hour recordings will be made available to enrolled students who are unable to attend live. *AP® is a trademark registered/owned by the College Board, which is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, any product offered by Cambridge Letters Institute or its affiliates.

Cancellation Policy

**Payment and Refund Terms** Enrollment in the AP Summer Seminar requires a $50 deposit at the time of registration to reserve a student’s seat in the cohort. This deposit will be applied toward the total course tuition. The $50 deposit is refundable only if the minimum cohort size of 5 students is not reached and the course is not offered. Once the minimum cohort size is reached and the course is confirmed, the deposit becomes non-refundable. The remaining course balance is due before the start of the seminar via invoicing. A student’s enrollment is not considered fully confirmed until the full tuition balance has been received. Because this seminar requires advance planning, instructional preparation, course platform setup, lecture recordings, embedded active-learning questions, handouts, grading, individualized feedback, lab materials, and limited cohort seating, tuition is non-refundable once the course has been confirmed and paid in full. Missed asynchronous lectures, assignments, office hours, labs, or optional bonus sessions do not qualify for a refund, credit, or prorated tuition adjustment. Students will continue to have access to recorded course materials and office hour recordings as available throughout the length of the course. Students who enroll in the Fall 2026 Accelerated AP Biology Rapid Review course at the start of the 2026 academic school year will also have their Summer Seminar resources available to them. Optional weekly office hours are included as a bonus support opportunity and are not individually refundable, transferable, or eligible for make-up sessions. If a student cannot attend a scheduled office hour live, the recording will be made available when possible. If Cambridge Letters must cancel the course before it begins because the minimum enrollment is not reached, families will receive a refund of any course payments already made. If a course session must be adjusted, rescheduled, moved to Zoom, or recorded due to instructor availability, weather, facility issues, illness, shipping delays, or other logistical concerns, Cambridge Letters will make reasonable efforts to provide an equivalent instructional experience, but such changes will not constitute grounds for a tuition refund. By registering for the course and submitting payment, families acknowledge and agree to these payment and refund terms.
